Former coach turns back to become General manager

From HLTV
Ninjas in Pyjamas have appointed Björn ”THREAT” Pers as their Counter-Strike division’s new General Manager. The 35-year-old Swede, who played 1.6 with the likes of fnatic and EYEBALLERS, and coached Ninjas in Pyjamas during several stints in Global Offensive, will now head the CS2 division.

Before his appointment, THREAT had tweeted on June 28 that, with the advent of Counter-Strike 2, he was interested in going ”all-in given the right team.”

THREAT’s signing marks another chapter in a storied career with the organization, from working with the legendary Ninjas in Pyjamas players of 2016 to watching over the changing of the guard in 2020.

In his previous stints as a coach, THREAT secured five titles: DreamHack Masters Malmö 2016, StarSeries i-League Season 2, IEM Oakland 2016 and 2017, and IEM Fall 2021 Europe.

The former skipper has already been working with NIP’s Director of Esports, Erik Wendel; Director of Performance, Troels Robl; and Head Coach, Daniel ”djL” Narancic. So far, however, the organization is not ready to announce what the future holds for NIP’s CS teams.
