GungHo Online Entertainment Reveals Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet, Exclusively for Nintendo Switch™ 2

The beloved Ninjala franchise evolves into an open-world action game in the first chapter of a two-part saga

GungHo Online Entertainment America (GOEA) today announced Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet, the next evolution of Ninjala. After the original title amassed over 11 million downloads worldwide, the sequel takes a new direction as an open-world action game. Revealed during today’s Nintendo Direct, Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet will launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch™ 2 in Spring 2027, with the first demo playable at Anime Expo 2026.

The announcement is accompanied by a limited-time free streaming opportunity of the Ninjala anime, beginning June 12, with episodes released on a rolling basis to help fans catch up on the adventure so far.

Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet marks a new frontier for the series, transforming the original Ninjala’s high-energy PvP into an open-world action game. Players will traverse vast, nature-rich landscapes at their own pace, with the franchise’s high-speed Ninja-Gum Action combat driving every encounter. Along the way, master the power of the Shinobi to conquer dungeons and take down colossal bosses across an undiscovered world.

Ninjala 2 is told in an ambitious two-part story. The Uncharted Planet is the first installment, setting the stage for an epic narrative that will continue in a second chapter at a later date.

An Uncharted World Awaits
The adventure begins at the WNA Academy when a mysterious stranger manipulates the protagonist into breaking the Forbidden Seal. As the entire Academy is transported across the stars to a strange planet, the sinister Prime Tetrad of the Xenos Army is simultaneously unleashed. Now stranded on an uncharted world, the protagonist must work together with their allies to find their way back home to Earth, uncovering their own destiny that lies dormant deep within them along the way.
