The Sims 4 Goes Royal: New Base Game Update Out Now Ahead of Royalty & Legacy Launch

Today, The Sims 4 released a new Base Game Update and revealed details about the upcoming Wonderland Playroom Kit and Yard Charm Kit, setting the regal scene for the upcoming Royalty & Legacy Expansion Pack launching on February 12 for the EA app, Epic Games Store and Steam®, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One systems.

This update introduces several new features to help the Sims-playing experience reach new heights, including:

The Flared Staircases tool to widen staircases or adjust railings and banisters
An Updated Family Tree that expands the way players experience and tell Sims’ legacies and family stories
Updates to Create a Sim, which includes a new hair type category and luxurious nails, as well as Build/Buy Mode with a new Africana Style filter
A mysterious royal rewards-earning treasure hunt is underway during the Lost Legacies Event

The Sims also revealed a new Kit that celebrates imaginative design across play spaces: Wonderland Playroom Kit offers fantastical décor to elevate whimsical play spaces to new imaginative heights for every Sim. The Sims 4 Wonderland Playroom Kit will be available for download on all platforms beginning February 26.

Also, from now until February 18, players can take advantage of epic deals during the Lunar Sale, with select The Sims 4 Expansion Packs discounted up to 50% across the EA app, Epic Games Store and Steam®, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One systems.
