The Gaming Event Consolidate Is Coming to Skövde
On March 28–29, the gaming event Consolidate will take place at Valhall in Skövde Kulturhus. Over two days, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the public is invited to attend a free event where visitors can experience gaming and gaming culture in all its forms.
Consolidate is an inclusive event for the whole family, with the goal of making gaming and digital culture accessible to everyone, regardless of prior experience or financial circumstances. The event is completely free and does not require any pre-registration.
During the weekend, visitors can try console and PC games, explore the latest hardware, play tabletop RPGs and board games, experience cosplay, and listen to talks and presentations. By bringing together different parts of gaming culture in one place, the organizers aim to create a meeting space for community, curiosity, and learning.
That the event is being held in Skövde is no coincidence. The city has long been an important hub for game development in Sweden.
– Gaming is a natural part of Skövde’s culture. By bringing Consolidate here, we want to create an open meeting place where everyone can try things out, get inspired, and have fun together, says Katarina Blad, Event Manager at Next Skövde.
The initiative is led by Druidz E-sport Sweden, which works to give more people the opportunity to discover gaming and gaming culture.
