PQube and Full Stop Studios Announce Cozy Metal-Detecting RPG ’The Detectorist Guild’
Uncover Lost Treasures and Unearth a Long-Buried Mystery in a Quaint Yorkshire Village on PC and Consoles in Early 2027
PQube are thrilled to be partnering with Full Stop Studios to launch their cozy village-life RPG, The Detectorist Guild, on PC (via Steam® and Epic Games Store), PlayStation® 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch™ in Early 2027. Set in Yorkshire at the turn of the millennium, the game invites players to explore a quintessential British village with a trusty metal detector, uncovering lost treasures while slowly unravelling a deep-seated local mystery.
In The Detectorist Guild, players journey to a peaceful countryside English village, Shiverly, and step into the shoes of budding detectorist James. With metal detector in-hand, he will help the eccentric villagers locate their prized belongings while unearthing artefacts that reveal stories of the past. However, beneath Shiverly’s cozy and charming exterior lies a dark secret that will connect past and present, changing everything he knows about his peaceful village life.
The Detectorist Guild features accurately simulated metal detecting mechanics, including adjustable frequency, ground balance, and sensitivity controls, providing an authentic experience for both aspiring and veteran detectorists. As players unearth history, they can choose to donate relics to the local museum to learn more about the village’s past, or sell their antiques for a profit at the village emporium. A new Announcement Trailer was released today showcasing the gameplay loop, focusing on exploration, quests and collecting, all set against a beautifully designed 2.5D nostalgic British backdrop.
