rcp’s Next Move: Welcome Black Cube Games!

BLACK CUBE GAMES JOINS rcp FAMILY: STRENGHT IN UNITY
Munich/Amsterdam – Munich based production house remote control productions (rcp) continues to expand in challenging times by acquiring a minority stake in Dutch indie developer Black Cube Games (BCG). The partnership promises significant benefits for both companies.
Black Cube Games is the newest member of the rcp family. Under the agreement, rcp will become a minority shareholder in BCG, building on a foundation of trust and collaboration established over a time of close collaboration. This integration follows rcp’s ”growing family” model, which remains open to new members.
BCG CEO Ali Boroumand comments, ”Joining the rcp family marks a significant step in professionalizing our growing studio. Over the last two years working alongside rcp, we’ve already grown at an exponentially faster rate and have been exposed to numerous amazing opportunities. Seb, Hendrik and the rcp family have shown they truly care about our indie studio and our dream.”
Seb Downie-Blackwell, rcp Studio Partner, adds, ”Black Cube Games is an ideal fit for the rcp family. They bring an innovative approach to their projects, enhancing our family’s diversity. They’ve already demonstrated great synergy with our other studios through co-development and knowledge sharing. I’m thrilled that a chance meeting with Ali at the Reboot conference in Croatia has blossomed into a lasting partnership that benefits both BCG and the entire rcp family.”
BCG launched ”The Tale of Bistun” for PC and Xbox in 2022, followed by releases on PS4, PS5, and Switch in January 2025. The game, based on a renowned Persian poem, is a heartfelt tribute to Persian culture in both visuals and audio and has gathered several awards. Currently, BCG is developing their roguelike wrestling game ”Realm of Fame,” which will be showcased to potential publishers at the upcoming GDC in San Francisco.
