Viral hit game TCG Card Shop Simulator gets tournaments in a brand-new update for Steam, Xbox Game Preview, and Xbox Game Pass from March 19th. This transforms your humble in-game card store into a battleground for card-slinging glory with your NPC customers being the participants.

Since Early Access launch, the game has sold over 3 million copies, captivating players with the thrill of the rip and the hustle of shop management. With the Tournament Update, TCG Card Shop Simulator is en route to a 1.0 launch. Stay tuned for those details soon.

TCG Card Shop Simulator Tournament Update: How It Works

Get started: with the new update, aspiring tournament organizers can purchase a dedicated Tournament Prize Shelf from the in-game MY DIY store.

Use the Tournament app: using the new Tournament app on your in-game phone, you have total control over every aspect of your event.

Set the Stakes: Choose your tournament size, from an intimate 8-player showdown to a massive 32-player brawl.

Call the Shots: Decide the entry fee. Will you run a cheap, friendly tournament to build community, or a high-cost, high-reward showdown?

Pick Play Tables: pick and choose your favorite play tables and assign them a number or simplify it all with the auto option.

Curate the Loot: Stock the Tournament Prize Shelf with any cards or products from your inventory. These physical items become the official prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Top 8 finishers, visible for all to see and fight for.

Watch the Magic Happen: the desirability of your prizes and the entry fee will directly influence how quickly players sign up for the open slots. Once registration is full, the tournament kicks off the next day. Players will automatically find their opponents at the Play Tables you’ve designated, battling through multiple rounds. Winners will proudly pose in front of the Tournament Prize Shelf to claim their rewards, giving you a true sense of accomplishment as a shop owner.

Important: this isn’t a multiplayer update to the game, rather it allows NPC customers to interact with your store through the tournament mode.

Bonus: Camera Mode What’s a victory without a photo op? The update also adds a simple Camera mode to your in-game phone. Snap pictures of your triumphant champions, show off your perfectly stocked prize shelf, or document your shop’s growth. All your snapshots are saved to an in-game Gallery, letting you build a portfolio of your store’s legendary moments.
