New demo serves up the beating heart of this tiny tactical score attack challenge

26 SEPTEMBER 2024 – Netherlands-based indie developer Tomasz Kaye releases a new demo for Axe Ghost today, crafted for October’s Steam Next Fest (14-21).

Axe Ghost is a compact, turn-based tactics game. You’re a lone spirit battling a mindless horde. Each turn offers a different set of supernatural powers to line up your foes for lethal axe strikes before they reach you. Compete in daily procedurally generated challenges, and shoot for the top of the leaderboard within the time limit.

The new Axe Ghost demo takes an unconventional approach; offering early players an almost complete version of the full game ahead of its release!

You start a run, take on the horde, beat the boss and win – or die trying. The demo lets enthusiasts dive deep. Tomasz explains:

“I’m excited to see the plays people come up with, how far they can push it. And those who don’t love it can move on painlessly, no hard feelings!

I think this approach will help Axe Ghost to find its true audience – players who’ll throw themselves into daily challenges, chase high scores through quests, and battle for leaderboard supremacy in the full version.”

About the game

Axe Ghost is targeting a Q4 2024 commercial launch on PC via Steam. Pricing to be announced.
