Learn From the Best: Esports Leaders Discuss Game-Changing Tactics in New Video Series

In professional gaming, identifying, and responding to subtle audio details can make the difference between winning and losing. In a new video series, Logitech G unpacks the thoughts, tips, and experiences of elite in-game-leaders (IGLs) who transform sound into a competitive advantage.

Zero Opposition showcases a unique group of players who lead their teams in the global esports arenas of League of Legends, VALORANT, and CS:GO, including Astralis’ Lukas ”gla1ve” Rossander, Dplus KIA’s Heo ”Showmaker” Su and Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu, KRÜ Esports’ Nicolas “Klaus” Ferrari, and G2 Esports’ Sergen “Broken Blade” Çelik.

The ambition of the Logitech G’s Zero Opposition video series is to create a knowledge hub for aspiring players in collaboration with the elite of esports. Eight YouTube videos will be hosted at zeroopposition.gg to explore themes related to communication in gaming. The IGLs will discuss everything from managing information flow and team dynamics to handling emotions and leveraging silence.

In the first four episodes, we meet “Gla1ve”, “Showmaker”, “Klaus”, and “Broken Blade” from Astralis, Dplus KIA, KRÜ Esports, and G2 Esports:

“I have been working with mentally resetting a lot recently. It’s good to have a physical movement you do when you need to reset. It could be scratching the back of your head thinking “what a bad round I did, now I just need to reset”. You actually have to say the words out loud to yourself. Telling your teammates like “guys, let’s reset”, can also be good if you’re having a bad round as a team, says Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander, 4 times Major champion with Astralis.

“As the situation changes every second and depending on whether you hit the skill or not, you can communicate with your teammates immediately. So, we pay a lot of attention to the voice. If you look at our team when we’re playing well, the voices are often neat. I think it’s a very important element”

“The most important thing when it comes to feedback is to use keywords, in key moments. But you shouldn’t give feedback in the middle of a match, it’s not the right moment”, Nicolas “Klaus” Ferrari, in-game leader for KRÜ Esports. “It’s like playing football. On the pitch, everything is messy and loud, complicated, and nothing reasonable is going to come out from you, so it won’t be productive at all. The best thing is to talk to your teammate after the training or the match when things have cooled off a bit.”

Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander, Astralis, CS:GO: He has won Major 4 times and is one of the most experienced captains in the world of esports.
Heo “Showmaker” Su, Dplus KIA, League of Legends: “Showmaker” won the World Championship in 2020. He is the fastest player in the LCK (Korean league) to ever achieve 1000 league kills and has been voted as a member of the Korean All-Stars roster and MVP of the League multiple times. He also won the LCK title in the summer of 2021 and the regional finals in 2022.
Kim “Deft” Hyuk-Kyu, Dplus KIA, League of Legends: “Deft” won the World Championship in 2022. He has been playing in LCK (Korean league) since 2013 and has always been viewed as one of the best Korean AD carries.
Nicolas “Klaus” Ferrari, KRÜ Esports, VALORANT: “Klaus” was previously an Overwatch player and has gained great popularity in his home country, Argentina.
Sergen “Broken Blade” Çelik, G2 Esports, League of Legends: “Broken Blade” is the 3rd player ever to win both LEC and LCS titles. He won 2 LEC splits and is known for his top lane dominance and has therefore been nicknamed “The Topfather”.
Đỗ “Levi” Duy Khánh, GAM Esports, League of Legends: “Levi” has 7 titles in VCS (Vietnamese LoL league). A legendary Vietnamese player who has been voted the best “jungler” in the region multiple times.
Óscar “m1xwell” Colocho, Team Heretics, VALORANT: A former CS:GO player who switched to VALORANT. “m1xwell” is hugely popular in Europe and has won several Tier A events over the years.
Asma “Lirilia” Boughida, Karmine Corp GC, VALORANT: “Lirilia” has been playing professionally since 2021 and has since become a very popular player in the VALORANT space.
Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer, ENCE, CS:GO: The veteran Danish in-game leader, Snappi joined the team back in 2021. With his continuous excellent leadership, ENCE has claimed a spot amongst the best CS:GO teams in 2023, cementing that with their victory at IEM Dallas 2023.
