World of Warships Welcomes New U.S. Destroyers to Early Access

Set sail with four new U.S. Destroyers in Early Access, a second collaboration wave with Blue Archive, new combat missions, and numerous quality-of-life improvements
Wargaming, developer and publisher of leading cross-platform naval multiplayer game World of Warships, is sailing into summer with a brand-new wave of Blue Archive content, including plenty of new Commanders and ships for fans to enjoy. World of Warships’ July update also welcomes a new line of U.S. Tier VII–X destroyers into Early Access, new combat mission chains packed with rewards, and plenty of quality-of-life improvements.
New U.S. destroyers arrive in Early Access
A fresh line of U.S. destroyers drops anchor in Early Access. Four ships, including Tier VII Hughes, Tier VIII Osborne, Tier IX Christopher, and Tier X Burrows, are sailing into the game. From Tier VIII, they sport powerful 137 mm guns, putting this artillery at the forefront of their offensive tools. Ships of the line also bring robust HP pools to support their main gun-led combat, as well as a new feature—a toggleable Smoke Generator with a limited time pool for efficient engagements. Players can purchase bundles featuring these ships from week two of the update, obtainable in exchange for Tokens earned via a new American- themed Event Pass and new Personal Challenges.
Blue Archive collaboration: Wave Two
Blue Archive returns to World of Warships with a second wave of content! From July 9 through August 7, players can acquire four new ships through a limited-time Admiral bundle, put four new Commanders at the helm for battle, and uncover treasures from the Wishing Wharf. Content from the first wave of the collaboration also makes a reappearance, including four Commanders with dedicated voiceovers, plus the return of German Tier VIII battleship BA Tirpitz and U.S. Tier X battleship BA Montana.
New combat mission chains and quality-of-life improvements
Two new combat mission chains are available, which players can progress through by completing Random Battles, Co-op Battles, and Operations. The rewards include special containers, Coal, and permanent camouflages.
World of Warships’ July update also introduces plenty of user-interface and graphical changes to the game to improve the user experience. This wave of improvements includes changes to container UI elements to make the process more intuitive and user-friendly—a new barge animation toggle, a guaranteed reward counter, and flexible opening options to support opening multiple containers at once.
A new ship rotation system, available in both the Armory and Premium Shop, debuts to minimize overcrowding and ensure the availability of a wider array of ships. WG Temporal Super Sampling (TSS) is also being introduced, with new anti-aliasing technology for optimizing the in-game graphics without significantly impacting performance.
