Esports tournament expands and makes its debut on TEKKEN 8

Bandai Namco Europe today announces the third edition of the European TEKKEN Cup, which will happen on TEKKEN 8 and continue to develop and grow Bandai Namco Europe local esports footprint.

The competition will start this October with the TEKKEN National Championship in the Netherlands and continue its first phase until February 2025. Players will fight to reach the top of the leaderboard of one of the 9 regions:

–        France

–        Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg (BENELUX)

–        United Kingdom & Ireland

–        Italy and Malta

–        Spain and Portugal (IBERICA)

–        Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Iceland (NORDIC)

–        Germany, Austria, Switzerland (DACH)

–        Poland

–        Greece

Players will have the possibility to attend European TEKKEN Cup Major Events where players from all regions can earn points, as well as DOJO events to rake up points and be part of the Top 2 for their region and qualify directly for the European TEKKEN Cup finals. The 2 best performances in Major Events and the 4 best performances in DOJO events will be counted for the final leaderboard. In addition, and for the first time in the European TEKKEN Cup, a Last Chance Qualifier will be hosted to pick the last entrants at gamescom LAN.
