Luciano Pereña succeeds Stephan Bole as CEO, President and Chairman of the Management Board of Nintendo of Europe

Nintendo of Europe SE is pleased to announce updates to its management structure, in which Luciano Pereña will serve as CEO, President and Chairman of the Management Board. This change comes as the company says a fond farewell to Mr Stephan Bole, who has decided to leave the company and call an end to his full-time professional career after more than 35 years with Nintendo, including the past six years as President of Nintendo of Europe.

As of 1st September 2024, Nintendo of Europe’s restructured leadership team includes:

  • Luciano Pereña, Chief Executive Officer, President, and Chairman of the Management Board. Mr Pereña joined Nintendo in February 1994, most recently serving as Nintendo of Europe’s Chief Financial Officer since 2018.
  • Laurent Fischer, Chief Operating Officer. Mr Fischer joined Nintendo France’s marketing team in 1998, later serving as a Managing Director at Nintendo of Europe from 2006 to 2015 and most recently as Chief Marketing Officer since 2018.
  • Tom Enoki, Senior Managing Director, Corporate Planning Office. Mr Enoki joined the senior management team of Nintendo of Europe in 2022.

Furthermore, Frank Rittinghaus has been appointed to lead Nintendo of Europe’s Marketing, Communications, and Direct-to-Consumer Business. Frédéric Michaux succeeds Mr Rittinghaus in his former position as General Manager of Nintendo Benelux.

“On behalf of the entire company, I extend my sincere thanks to Stephan Bole for his outstanding leadership and many years dedicated to Nintendo,” said new Nintendo of Europe President Luciano Pereña. “I am honoured to continue Nintendo’s purpose of putting smiles on faces, and I am confident that this leadership group and united European team will allow us to build on our company’s legacy of delivering unique experiences.”

Nintendo recently completed the reorganisation of all its European entities into one organisation, Nintendo of Europe SE, with all local offices remaining open.
