Mads Skovgaard, the visionary behind the popular sandbox survival game Necesse has been on an incredible journey with his creation; from a solo hobby project, to a studio of 8 and now over 1 million copies sold! Necesse’s upcoming major update promises to enhance the gaming experience for both longtime fans and newcomers, reflecting the dedication and ambition of the expanded Fair Games team, and it will be available worldwide on August 10, 2024.

“10 years ago I started to develop Necesse as a hobby project. 5 years ago Necesse came out in Early Access on Steam. 1 year ago I started my game studio Fair Games and expanded it from myself, to 8 passionate developers. 6 months ago Necesse reached 1 million copies sold worldwide. And now we’re releasing the Graphics Update, giving Necesse a completely new breathtaking look. It’s been a wild ride,” states Mads Skovgaard, Creator of Necesse.

Fair Games developed Necesse as a multiplayer game focusing on bringing all the different kinds of gamers together:

  • Are you looking for a challenge? Take on any of the 18 different bosses Necesse has to offer.
  • Taking it easy after a long day of work? Build on your cozy base and maybe do a bit of fishing.
  • Want to min-max and micromanage? Recruit 50 settlers (or more, if you like), adjust their work priorities to maximum efficiency, achieving the ideal facto- .. Happy settlement. I meant to say happy settlement.
  • Are you a born explorer? Necesse has 5 biomes, 10 mysterious cave types and 10 unique endgame Incursions just waiting for you.

So whatever type of gamer you or your friends are, Necesse is a game that has it all!

The new trailer showcases Necesse’s hero and the friends he made along the way, taking on a bunch of the challenges Necesse has to offer. Including adventuring through the deep caverns, expanding and defending a grand settlement and taking on powerful end-game bosses to reap their juicy loot!
