Lead Campaigns Across the Medieval World
From the war-torn cities of the Holy Land to the contested kingdoms of Spain, North Africa, and Eastern Europe, players will chart their course across a living historical map. Wage tactical real-time battles, govern newly conquered cities, and use diplomacy to forge alliances, or destroy them.
Take part in major historical moments such as the Reconquista and the defense of Edessa, and determine the fate of the Crusades through bold decisions and battlefield mastery.
A Grand Strategy with Real-Time Combat and City-Building
Knights of the Crusades merges large-scale real-time warfare with layered strategic systems. Construct and upgrade settlements, manage vital resources, and command your forces across sprawling provinces. Whether through siegecraft, trade, or political maneuvering, every action carries weight in your quest for power.
Unlike traditional strategy games, faith is more than a narrative theme—it’s a core system. Players must manage piety to maintain influence, avoid excommunication, and unlock divine blessings, turning religion into a strategic pillar of power.
No two campaigns will play the same, short-term tactics must be carefully balanced against long-term ambition.

A Player-Driven Sandbox Campaign
Begin as a humble knight and ascend the ranks to become the founder of a world-spanning order and a beacon of faith. Choose to create your own custom Holy Order or lead the legendary Templars, defining its structure, doctrine, and destiny.
Forge your legacy through conquest, loyalty, or betrayal in a campaign where power must be earned and held. The world responds to players’ actions, crafting an emergent story shaped entirely by the player.
Explore a massive, dynamic map stretching from Western Europe to the Holy Land, filled with bustling towns, fortified cities, and vital pilgrim routes. Navigate a living world of naval engagements, brutal sieges, and ever-shifting alliances as AI factions pursue their own agendas.
Face spiritual and political challenges—from managing piety-driven economies to surviving excommunication, heresies, and escalating holy wars. Players’ stories aren’t scripted; they emerge from players’ decisions, rivalries, and rise to power.

“Knights of the Crusades is the game I’ve wanted to make for years—raw, intense, and rooted in one of history’s most brutal and misunderstood eras,” said Konstantine Fomenko, Producer and Design Director at Reverie World Studios. “It’s not about glorifying war—it’s about walking the line between faith and fanaticism. Launching in Early Access is our way of putting the sword in the players’ hands, letting them help shape the game before it’s carved in stone. We want to hear the tough feedback, the crazy ideas, and build a great new grand strategy game together with our community.”
Knights of the Crusades enters Early Access on May 5, bringing all core systems to the battlefield, including tactical RTS combat, city-building mechanics, resource management, and a fully playable sandbox campaign.
The developers at Reverie World Studios are committed to community-driven development. Players are encouraged to provide feedback via Steam forums, Discord, and regular developer updates as the team works to expand the game throughout Early Access.
Players can wishlist Knights of the Crusades on Steam now to follow development and prepare for the launch on May 5, 2025.
