In a new trailer debuted during Day of the Devs: The Game Awards Edition today, Arc Games and Heart Machine announced the highly-anticipated Hyper Light open world co-op rogue-lite Hyper Light Breaker is officially set to launch in Steam Early Access on January 14, 2025 for £24.99. The trailer shown during the showcase was just a sliver of the full Early Access Release Date Reveal Trailer, as the complete version covers an in-depth overview from Hyper Light Breaker Lead Producer, Michael Clark, of what players need to know about the new Hyper Light adventure before the game enters Early Access next month.

Those who embark on this new adventure will be able to experience multiple challenging playthroughs solo or with fellow Breakers via online co-op multiplayer, explore the vast, ever-changing worlds within the Overgrowth, and die and retry as they face hordes of deadly enemies. Hyper Light Breaker will continue to evolve throughout the course of Early Access, as developer Heart Machine has plenty of content planned, including new Breakers, Crowns (bosses), gear and more. The team developed Hyper Light Breaker with Early Access in mind as they’ll set their sights on taking community feedback to heart to balance the experience and evolve the game before it enters 1.0 launch.

ABOUT HYPER LIGHT BREAKER

From Heart Machine, the award-winning team behind critically-acclaimed titles Hyper Light Drifter and Solar Ash, comes Hyper Light Breaker, a new co-op rogue-lite adventure set in the beloved Hyper Light Drifter universe. Hyper Light Breaker is a brand-new entry in the Hyper Light franchise, with a unique story fully realized in 3D for the first time. Set decades prior to Drifter, Hyper Light Breaker has you take on the role of a Breaker, a mercenary tasked with entering the Overgrowth. Using a combination of fast-paced hack-and-slash combat, ranged weaponry and gadgets, players can expect to fight through and explore a wide array of procedurally-generated open worlds. Though you’ll start your journey trying to help the settlement, it’s clear that there’s something sinister in this long-forgotten land. Only through tenacity and rigorous exploration will you uncover the dark truths of the Crowns, The Abyss King and this brutal, eerie new landscape. Players can choose to play alone or with up to two fellow Breakers to explore open worlds, create new builds, rip through hordes and overcome the Crowns and the Abyss King.
