Gaming for Seniors – ”Daring to Have Fun”

Inger ”Triggerfinger” Grotteblad and three other members are leaving the senior Counter-Strike team ”Silversnipers” to form a brand-new team: ”Silver Legends.”
The team will focus on senior health and well-being, aiming to show how digital games can help reduce loneliness, provide cognitive training, and maintain mental agility – all while having a great time.

Just like before, we will continue to give lectures, participate in fairs, and engage in events related to seniors. Exhibition matches with younger players will also be a key focus. Playing with children and grandchildren is a fantastic way to strengthen relationships and bridge generational gaps.

The team is also setting its sights on the International Senior League and the Swedish Senior Series in Counter-Strike (CS2) and will participate in the upcoming spring season. To build a competitive team, two new members will join the roster. Inger Grotteblad previously won the Senior World Championship in Counter-Strike esports in 2019 with Silversnipers.

Silver Legends’ team members range from 63 to 73 years old, with an average age of 67.
All members are passionate gamers with many years of experience in digital gaming. The team is coached by an experienced trainer, supported by a younger player, with the goal of proving that seniors can play too!
