Anyone with a Steam account can now participate for free until the easter holidays and help the devs with their feedback.
About the game: Deadly Days: Roadtrip is an exciting action roguelite, that combines reverse bullet hell gameplay with strategic inventory management.
Start your road trip through the zombie apocalypse! Fight your way through, gain experience and collect items to assemble an epic inventory. Craft more effective weapons and find out what items you can combine to withstand the ever-increasing waves of zombies.
What’s new?
Based on the more than 800 feedback submissions from the previous playtest, we were able to implement variety of improvements and innovations.
Besides a bunch of new items and enemy types we added a special event in the mid of your run, a merchant and a completely new mission system. Different biomes which can have their own mission types. Full controller support was implemented and performance was drastically improved. The game is now playable on Steamdeck.
We added a extensive settings menu with full input mapping and accessibility options. All UI screens have been remade and transition animations were added. Procedual map generation was improved with more textures and variety.
Balancing-wise the game got harder – hopefully not too hard for new players. Player speed and epic weapon damage was increased and fire + poison damage system was reworked.
Team Pixelsplit has been working diligently on improvements and enhancements
(835 changes on github) and is now very excited to see how these are received by the players.
