The legendary franchise returns with three cosmic operations with new ships, captains and rewards

October 31 – Wargaming, developer and distributor of the world’s leading naval war game, World of Warships, together with Paramount Pictures can now present the next phase of the Star Trek collaboration in World of Warships. In the latest epic journey to the outermost frontier, three new operations sail into the game, giving players the opportunity to engage in intergalactic battles on the seven seas of World of Warships. Operations are packed with rewards and players can discover new camouflages, ships and four additional captains ready to warp speed.

After a scientific conference on the planet Vulcan, where the sharpest minds from the Federation, Vulcan, the Klingon Empire and the Romulan Star Empire gathered, the Borg Collective seizes the opportunity for a devastating attack. Players can take up the resistance in three new operations starting October 30 and with two weeks per operation, right through to mid-December. In the operations, players can take command of ships from all sides with familiar characters like Picard, Spock, Sela and Gowron as captains.

Defeat the Borg Collective during ever-evolving operations

When the event begins, three ships will be available during the operation; a destroyer, a cruiser and a battleship, with a fourth, the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise-D , available after it is unlocked as players progress through the reward track. In addition to unlocking the iconic Gray Ghost during the operation, players can also purchase the USS Enterprise for doubloons for a limited time. Along the way through the operation, players can unlock module upgrades and Star Trek chips that can upgrade the ships even more. Players can also dock in a brand new Star Trek port where they can track progress, upgrade ships and unlock combat bonuses while filling their iconic collection of Star Trek memorabilia.

All special operations ships start with basic modules that can be upgraded through the reward track and each will have four slots for modules, such as primary and secondary armament, hull and shields. By experimenting with different combinations, players can discover new ways to improve the ship’s characteristics, bonus effects and equipment to build the ultimate ship to face the enemy. To elevate the Star Trek vibe even more, each operation brings new weapons and shields that let players fight the Borg with a variety of phasers and photon torpedoes.

After introducing several fan-favorite characters and camouflages from Star Trek earlier this year, four new iconic characters are now coming to the game as captains. Those modeled on are Starfleet’s Riker aboard the Pan-Asian cruiser Chengan, Class I, Starfleet’s Janeway on the American cruiser Salem, X-class, the Borg Queen on the Japanese battleship Yamato, X-class, and finally the Klingon Worf on the French cruiser Bougainville, class I. Additionally, we are introducing two new permanent camouflages, with the Borg look for Yamato and the USS Voyager look for Salem.
