Master the seasons, take carefully planned turns, and fight back against nature’s corruption in this dark fantasy roguelike deckbuilder.

Indie developer and publisher ByteRockers’ Games has released Solnox – Grimoire of Seasons on Steam as part of their very first Publisher Sale.

In Solnox – Grimoire of Seasons, players wield the power of the seasons to push back corruption and reclaim nature from tainted enemy hordes. Unlike most roguelikes, however, it’s not only about building the perfect deck. On the hexagon-based battlefield, positioning and timing are just as important as the damage dealt, and every rune stone played reshapes the flow of battle.

Solnox – Grimoire of Seasons’ Official Launch Trailer:

After each round, the current season shifts, altering what players can do and forcing them to adapt their strategy:

  • Spring rewards momentum, allowing players to draw a new rune stone whenever an enemy is defeated
  • Summer empowers aggression, making played rune stones deal additional damage
  • Autumn increases movement range, opening up new ways to reposition, escape, and outmanoeuvre enemies
  • Winter strengthens defensive play, granting defense when rune stones are played and boosting defensive runes

Behind every enemy horde is the so-called Last Season, which also starts infecting the battlefield directly as you progress. While standing on corrupted ground, up to two rune stones can become unusable, forcing you to make clever decisions and plan ahead.

In typical roguelike fashion, players choose which battlefield to enter next, deciding between combat encounters, shops, mystery fields, and healing opportunities. Meta progression eventually unlocks three playable Wardens and six starting decks for players to experiment with.
