BioEden – A Cozy Management Game With a Meaningful Message
BioEden is a charming and unusual management game where your goal is to restore planets to their natural balance. By breeding extinct animals, returning them to their natural habitats, cleaning up the environment, recycling materials and restoring the planet’s ecosystem, you get to watch a damaged world slowly come back to life. Its cartoon-like art style is reminiscent of Astroneer without feeling childish, while the calm and atmospheric soundtrack fits the alien environments perfectly.
It takes some time to learn all of the game’s systems, but the tutorial makes the process smooth and easy to follow. Different difficulty levels, quick game options and the ability to pause or speed up time allow you to play at your own pace. While some mechanics left me with a few questions, I experienced no technical issues or bugs during my review. Most importantly, BioEden creates a relaxing yet rewarding experience where you can genuinely feel like you are making a difference. It’s hard not to think about our own planet while playing – and perhaps that is what makes BioEden so special.
