Druidz Heroes of Newerth – The road to the worlds finals

2017 World Finals | Apr 1/2

Continuing with tradition, this year’s World Finals showdown will be held in Bangkok, Thailand on April 1st and April 2nd. The World Finals will consist of 4 teams from around the globe who will duke it out for the title of 2017 World Finals Champion. In addition to the prestigious title, combatants will also be vying for their slice of a 4,000,000 Baht prize pool (~ $114,187 US.) More information and details about the World Finals, including tournament structure and payouts, will be revealed at a later date. Keep your eyes peeled!

Open Qualifiers | Feb 11/12 and Feb 18/19

Now that you know about the World Finals, you might be wondering how YOU can get there. Good news! We’ve got one spot for a team from the NA/EU/LAT/CIS region so call up your old teammates, shake off the dust from your strat book, cancel all your plans for the next two upcoming weekends, and get ready to play the best HoN of your life.

In order to determine which team that will represent our region, we will hold two Open Qualifying tournaments. Each tournament will be open to any team that would like to participate. The Qualifiers will be capped at 128 teams and their format will be a Best-of-3 (Round of 128 will be Best-of-1), Single Elimination where the top 4 teams will earn a spot in the Playoffs (more information about that below.)

Playoffs | Feb 25/26 Mar 4/5

The 8 teams that advance through the qualifiers will head back to the battlefield to compete in a best-of-3, double elimination tournament on Feb 25/26 & Mar 4/5. This tournament will be very similar to a Diamond cycle from HoN Tour Season 4. The team that survives the playoffs will earn a trip to Thailand to compete for the title of 2017 HoN Tour World Champions.
